Headed to Telluride in one week for skiing. I know that a few of you have been there and happy to hear any operational tips. Of interest, the localizer approach has lower minimums than the GPS/RNAV which has a glideslope. Both approaches are basically descents into VFR conditions. According to FBO, we are number four on the waiting list for a hangar……..any connections for getting a roof over the airplane at KTEX?
Thanks
Alan

Alan,
I have no connections in Telluride however Durango, where I live 1/2 of the time has a great airport, better weather and hangar space available. It is also at 6640 MSL v. Telluride at 9200 MSL. It is only a two hour drive to Telluride. KDRO might be a reasonable option.
The manager at KDRO is Charlie Johnson (970) 259-7400. Use my name.
