Looking for advice on how to handle grass taxi and parking at Oshkosh with the Marquise. We will be flying from Wisconsin Dells so we should be light on fuel going into Oshkosh but still 9 pax (almost all are smaller/light folks).

We will park at the North 40 Tuesday PM or evening. I am wondering if we should plan on having plates under the wheels. Never noticed anyone else doing this but even my P210 sinks quite a bit at OSH and we need to be 3 or 4 to push the mains out of the hole created. My concern is that it would require a mechanical tug or a huge tug-of-war rope setup to pull it out manually, attached to our nice portable MU-2 towbar.

But how do you put the plates on safely the first time ? I am again thinking tug-of-war setup again as I fear a FOD episode doing it on engine power (that and blowing out other tents... not good).

I also figure that for departure, we would have to tow ourselves to a good spot for refueling and startup. If we are lucky there might be concrete nearby to use. We will depart at max gross for 2.5 hour nonstop flight back home to Montreal.
