Training

The following organizations are approved to provide SFAR Training.

For those not familiar with the SFAR, the MU-2 is subject to a Special FAR (SFAR) which requires standardized
initial and recurrent training in the MU-2. Since implementation, the MU-2 has become the safest twin turboprop
aircraft in the world. For twin turboprops, almost all insurance companies require initial and recurrent training, but
what is different about the SFAR-mandated training for the MU-2 is that is specifically calls out what training must
be accomplished and to what standard. The result is safer pilots, lower insurance rates and the statistics which prove
recurrent, standards-based training makes operating a complex turboprop aircraft safer!
